So I just bought the gtx 780ti (in the title) by EVGA without knowing Nvidia would come out with a 900 series of graphics cards. I've been looking up the differences between them and it seems that the 980 outperforms my 780ti. ALthough minimal it's completely frustrating that I just bought it literally a week ago. Simply put I wanted to ask the community what I should do. Return the 780ti and buy 980, or just keep what I have. Keep in mind I haven't even used the 780ti yet, it's still in the box.

You must have a nice returns policy where you are living as I would say that in reality you do not have suitable grounds for a return of product. However If you are able to wait a week or so before you make your decision there will be endless new reviews of the non-reference versions and their true performance benefits. The reviewers will be over their 'kid before Christmas', 'honeymoon bliss', rose coloured glasses etc and they may have some new recommendations.

I wouldn't worry if I were you as your card is quite good. Also don't fool yourself into thinking that this was not a carefully timed release of a product they have had for some time. The next "big thing" will be out in a few months anyway! lol
