The GTX 780ti is a bit more powerfull but the consume is higher, i'd go for the gtx 970. Look the Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970.

Despite the small advantage, I'd take the 970 for the lower power / heat and ability to SLI (will be easier to find) 18-24 months down the road....also has more RAM, even if ya quibbble about the top 0.5 GB

get a 780TI i would get that anyday instead of that Laggy last 512MB IMO nvidia should have released that card as 3.5GB of Vram and locked the last 512 it drops the frames

If you go along with the "partisan bickering", 3.5 in the 970 is still bigger than 3.0 in the 780 Ti

The bickering about the upper 512 if they put a play on to describe it, would be called "Much ado about Nothing". The impact has been well documented

I didn't say it , TPU said it had like a 3% overall speed advantage. That being said, I'd take a 970 for reasons in previous post.
