GTX 950 compatible with motherboard?

I am building a computer for the first time, and I have a question about my graphics card's compatibility. I have a gtx 950 and I am wondering if it will be compatible with a Maximus VIII Hero. If not, what should I look for to check compatibility in the future? Thanks!

As long as the motherboard has a PCI-E x16 slot, it will be compatible and there is no need to worry. For the future, make sure the card will fit in the case itself (like an Asus triple fan Strixx wont fit in an ITX case), but other than that you are good to go! Happy building and good luck
