GTX 950 on HP Z400 Workstation , is that wrong ?

Hello fellas
i would like to ask if i just use GTX 950 VGA card
in HP Z400 Workstation is that cause any problem bcuz that is
Gtx 950 wants a PCI gen 3 socket ?

is that will make any damage on the vga cards ?

You should be fine. The new PCI-E versions are fully backward compatible. I think the PSU in the z400 is enough, but you should check that it has the appropriate connector.

Is it good using 6 pin power converter to 8 pin? Since HP z400 has only 6 pin power connector and the GPU is 8 pin.
