Hello,

I've been looking at getting a new graphics card. I was looking at getting an ASUS ROG Strix GeForce® GTX 1060 as I already own a ASUS Strix GEFORCE® GTX 960. I was just wondering if they are compatible to run together.

My motherboard is a ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer.

Thanks for your time.

you cannot use them both at the same time and having a PhysX card is useless now.
the GTX1060 is not SLI compatible and the GTX960 is not SLI worthy.

if you are playing at 1080p resolution a single GTX1060 should be more than enough for your needs and you can sell your 960 to help pay for your new GPU (or you can give it to someone who will give it good use, that is what I do)

So would it not be possible to run them together? Would I need to get two of the same GPUs?

Yes, in fact, the GTX 1060 don't have SLI Bridge to connect it.
