gtx 960 not working?

I have just bought a pc from a store and a couple days later I have seen in msi after burner that all my gpu power is coming from the integrated intel gpu and my gtx 960 is idle why

Make sure your monitor is plugged into the video card monitor port not the motherboard port. Also, check the BIOS to see that PCIe video is ON and not IGP video. Read your users manual.

I took it to a store and found out that's it was faulty

You had to have been plugging into the motherboard, it's the only way to use the integrated GPU.
