Gtx 960 or R9 280X Vapor X Tri X

i want to upgrade my gpu. I want MORE fps. I'm upgrading from a inno3d Gtx 660.
Here are my choices:
Sapphire R9 280X Vapor X Tri X
or
Gigabyte Gtx 960 G1 gaming

Which of the two cards is worth the upgrade?
(They have the same price as of now)

add about 10% to each total shown here for the gtx760 that would give you on average the results for the 960

theyre mostly on par since 80% of all popular games are optimized for nvidia. 960 is also a newer card with more room to grow.
I would rather just go for the ASUS STRIX since it uses one pin instead of two, less wattage, less heat and it turns off the fans for less intensive games so.
Either get the 280x or ASUS STRIX 960
IMO the G1 ruins the point of the 960 (which is a small cheap card with low power usage using only 1 6 pin)
