GTX 970 and a PCI extender?

Hello guys, I am sorry if I write in the wrong section, but it is all about the PCI extender.
I am building my own case, and I want to make it like the wall mounted PCs (with the video card screwed like the motherboard, near it), so as you guessed I had to buy PCI extender(from China as it costs only 5 USD) and for my case to make it work(it is only 20 centimeters long (7.87 inches)), I had to connect the extender to the motherboard, then it is going behind the Video card and connecting it. I had issues starting the PC (probably MOBO can't recognize the GPU?), then I read that you can try to shield the cable with tin foil. What happened next is that I added up to 5 layers of tin foil (of course I put non conductive tape on top) and the PC started. I was very happy until I tried to benchmark the GPU - Unigine Valley I usually get average 110 fps in the slot, but with the PCI extender I had like 10 fps average...
Do you think it is receiving EMI or it is losing data?
The question is - Can anyone of you can answer if the 20 times more expensive 3M cable ( http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/3m/8KC3-0726-0500/3M12026-ND/3641403 ) will work like the Video card is in the slot?
Or if you can add anything else on the PCI extender topic, that I may not know please response.

P.S. I'm not sure if specs matter but still if you need it - asus z97i-plus, intel 4690k,MSI GTX 970 OC 4gd5t, RAM 2x8 GB Adata.
And I'm sorry for my terrible English :)

Solution

you are probably using the wrong cable , I bet it is not 16x connected .

many cables are 16x to 1x or 16x to 4x connected.

Also u need to make sure the cable is powered , some cables dont have power connection routed .

oh and forget about cheap $5 cables , pci express cables are very expensive.

he needs to shield the cables and for this it must be surrounded by metal cage . he should use tin foil then ground it . and for protection he can cover the tin foil with electrical tape.

I understand that I have to buy the expensive one, but my question is - Will the 3M cable(8KC3-0726-0500) work like the video card is directly in the slot or I will have issues? I don't see a power cord (should it have?)
P.S. 130 USD is the final price I have to pay for it(I'm in a country where you should work more than a week for this) and that kind of money are too much for a cable, that I'm not sure if it will work properly. If I am sure I will buy it, but you understand if doesn't I'll be breaking or putting on fire something 😀
Can somebody write me if the 3M ( http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/3m/8KC3-0726-0500/3M12026-ND/3641403 ) will do its job?
Or somebody that knows someone that made wall PC and he is using that (or other) good cable and everything is fine.

Dan cases are using 3M cable for their new case , you can ask him about performance here

https://www.dan-cases.com/dana4.php

I never used the 3M cable I used external cables so I cant say about the exact performance.

which can be used with this card to make PCI express external

Solution
If anyone else is wondering the same thing I did, I will just say what happened.
I bought the 3m cable (http://www.mouser.bg/Search/ProductDetail.aspx?R=8KC3-0726-0500virtualkey51750000virtualkey517-8KC3-0726-0500).
Just received it and it is working great!!
With Unigine Valley Benchmark 1.0 I benched it (Render😀irect3D11 ;Mode:1920x1080 fullscreen ;Preset-Custom ;Quality-High, I usually get from 100 - 110 average fps) with the 3M PCI extender I got like 108 average fps, so I dont have any data loss :)

Congratz :)
