GTX 970 And memtest.

Hello All RMA'd an MSI GTX 970 and got a brand new one, now i have received this new card exact same issues occur which are

3 mins into any game - instant display driver crash
I have run memtest CL - no errors
Running memtestg80 - 100k errors
tried over 12 drivers - same issues
tried 3 different operating systems - same issue
updated the bios on my os - same issue
underclocked my card - same issue

I know it inst my PSU - brand new EVA supernova 750 g2 is more than enough for a single GTX 970 / That doesn't crash my 770 at all

any ideas ? or shall i bin the card and roll onto the RX 480 ?

Just checking things off here. Clean install of drivers, did you use the display driver cleaner when switching from the other cards to this one? Two bad ones in a row, while unlikely, isn't out of the question. You've got a couple weeks before the 480 comes out, so there's some time to play with it and run through the checklist before sending it back. Did you try different power cables from the PSU. Not familiar with memtestg80, but it seems like that can trigger false positives, errors that in a graphics display context wouldn't necessarily mean a bad card, but where you're using it for compute purposes it can have errors in the results that you wouldn't want. I'd say try it in another system entirely too. Just to rule out your other components. Get a friends computer or family member that lives close.

Ok so things from your list i did

used DDU every time i used a new driver

Tried it in a second system same problem - i have one rigid cooled and one flexi - although if driver related i did use the same drivers.

in my honest opinion i think this is a bad card but i just want to be sure before i go scream at MSI again lol

Ya, I can't think of anything else, You've ruled out everything but another bad card. Give MSI what for. Unacceptable. But, you gotta figure they move so many, it's bound to happen at some time, and if you're like me and go through parts for every ones systems, that only ups the chances of something like this happening, for me it was Gigabyte 290Xs, bought them when they first came out, newegg, within the first three months two had to be sent back for warranty repair, within six months, the third and one that had come back had to be sent back, within the first year, all three cards had been sent back 2 - 4 times, Gigabyte was good about it except the one time they forgot to send me a new one and I had to call, but other than that, no complaints cept the cards had faults, bad faults, never had problems like that with any other manufacturer or card, but them Gigabyte 290XOCs...

dude you wont belive this... i fixed it issues " even if temporary"

changed settings in the Nvidia control panel "GLObal settings"
Tripple buffering - set to off
Vsync - Set to off
Power - set from adapative to max performance...

and its stable at the moment

Sweet. The only setting there that makes sense for fixing it is the power. But awesome.

i mean the Vsync will add strain and propably cause whine coil but im replacing in 13 days any ways so
