Drivers crashing constantly when watching youtube videos or starting games, also getting major stuttering when watching things in VLC. Also get "hiccups" in game where it locks up for a half a second.

Setup:
GTX 970
I5 2500k
z68mx-ud2-b3.
8GB ram
500GB SSD

Things I've tried
updating drivers, both stable and beta.

I changed power management to "prefer maximum"
Thread optimization: on
Triple buffering: off
Vertical sync: off

I thought it may have been a mobo issue due to having to flash the bios to latest version to even run the PCIe 3 card, I was also getting issues where it would try booting old bios which would cause boot loops. Reflashing fixed that issue but not the GPU one.

Any one got ideas?

Cheers

do it in this order and see if it helps...
> download display driver uninstaller from guru3d...run it and uninstall all current drivers...
> power off the system and reset the cmos battery...
> detach the card and clesn properly for dust accumulation...dust can do wonders...reattach the card...
> power on the system and update the bios to the latest one, but before that, keep a copy of the older bios, in case the new one doesnt work...
> now go to the nvidia website and download the latest drivers for the card and install them...
> along with that u should update ur...vcredist, c++ redistributable, directx, and .net framework...

let us know wat happns...
