Hello. I know one of the more frequent features of the gtx 970 series cards is the fanless until reaching x temperature configuration. I supposed I'm in the minority, because I would actually "prefer" my fans to spin all the time, and try to prevent reaching that threshold in the first place.

I remember reading somewhere that there are certain models that have a switch on the card that changes it from being inactive until reaching x heat, to being active constantly. Can anyone tell me which model/s has this fan? Also on the topic, does anyone know of a card in the 970 that just outright does NOT have the fanless function? Thanks for your time!

To do that you'd have to buy a single fan model which is kind of pointless IMO!!

My Galax exoc spins 1 fan at low rpm at idle ,the other 1 kicks in at 50c.
The card idles around 32c which is more than acceptable IMO
As i7 baby states its an easy override with afterburner but not really necessary.
