Hello,
Today I installed a new GTX 970 (upgrading from 560ti). Thing is I forgot to uninstall previous drivers. I uninstalled them afterwards in safe mode since the monitor gives no signal after the windows start screen, did a complete uninstall with DDU and sweep of the registry with Ccleaner and it starts normally but whenever I install the latest nvidia drivers (344.75) and reboot the same problem happens. My motherboard is an Asus P8H77-V le.
The PSU is more than enough and I'm sure I installed the card correctly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
To cut a long story short it was the refresh rate.
The driver selects the native resolution at 60hz as soon as it installed.
My tv supposedly supports 60hz but would only work when I plugged in another monitor and turned the tv down to 30hz.
I have the same problem since upgrading to the latest asus bios and nvidia drivers, rolling them back does nothing it appears the damage has already been done?! Even did it on a clean install and nothing.
