Hi so today I got a GTX 970 and im getting lower FPS then expected and actually its close to my old 7770 GPU in comparison. Im running the latest Nvidia Drivers I have the MSI gaming 4G edition and im getting not even 60fps low on battlefield.

PC Specs
Amd 8320 3.5ghz
gtx 970
8gb ddr3
windows 7 ultimate
as rock 970 pro 3 motherboard
500 watt PSU

Also something to note, when installing drivers for a new card, the ones they put on the DVD with the GPU, are outdated. Always grab the newest driver from nvidia, not the maker of your card. In rare occurrences the manufacturer drivers are best, but just about every time nvidia.com will fix ya right up.

My Drivers were already up to date with the website i used CCleaner and still nothing i get lower than 20fps in battlefield 4 on high.
BTW my PSU is a pretty cheap make maybe i should upgrade my power supply any recommendations?

It only goes up to 2.0 because i think that's what my motherboard only supports but i reinstalled the old drivers today i now get an average of 60fps on battlefield 4 on ultra but on dayz mod i only get 20 fps which really annoys me i might wipe my hard drive and start a fresh install.

On my GPU-Z it shows 'PCI-E 1.1 x 16 @ x2 1.1' normally, and when I run the test. Is this in its idle state or does the x2 mean it is on 3.2?
