GTX 970 low GPU load, and low FPS

Hi! I've been getting low GPU usage with my GTX 970, and low FPS in games like Watch Dogs, because the card is at 50% load. It's annoying. I already uninstalled the drivers and installed 344.48 again, like 4 times.

My system:

- Core i5 4570
- Cooler Master V550 80+ Gold
- Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits
- 8GB RAM HyperX Fury

Do I need to re install windows? I don't want to. I didn't had this problem with my GTX 760, I just swapped and boom, this appeared.

That sucks man. I would just reinstall windows.

nvidia just released 344.60... I will give it a shot. It's hard to reinstall windows, I have a lot of stuff and it took me 2 days to get all the W7 updates when I installed W7 for the first time.

Yeah reinstalling windows is terrible I hear you. The up side to it though is that if you take the time to do it you can just install what you need and remove a lot of crap and games you don't use. Good luck with those drivers.

I'm having the same problem as you, i have a msi gtx 970 with i7 3770k, im pretty sure it won't bottleneck. i searched very much on google and many people have this problem, it's the power saving features of the 970, which u can't turn off, not yet. that feature in the control panel doesn't actually work. If u do find a fix do reply to me because i'm so irritated that even though I bought a great gpu, the performance is limited by the low gpu load. Why can't it just be 100% load all the times 🙁

They shud have disabled the power savings while in applications.

I know this may sound silly, but remove Geforce experience if you have it. Let me know if it works. it worked for me.

Uninstall all drivers and softwares Nvidia
Restart your computer
Downloaded and installed Nvidia Drivers 344.11
...

did you find a fix? I'm having same exact problem, different games with a 980 ti
