Due to a bad psu, I had to rebuild my game computer this summer and got my first chance to fire it up today. I managed to get a EVGA GTX 970 the first day they were out and played some of BF3 to check out the graphics. I laid into a few rounds of Close Quarters and got the weird, bitter electrical burn smell coming out my computer. Right away, I jumped out of the game and started SpeedFan to get a quick temp check before shutting down. ? No GPU temp readings. No GPU measurements at all.
This is my first Nvidia card so I'm new to the card maker. Does Nvidia build sensors into their cards or am I missing something here.

Hola! Got my temp readings! Thanks a bunch! Usually, I can get a temp check easily with SpeedFan but for some reason it wasn't showing. Afterburner's great. I always associated Afterburner with AMD. Never thought they'd make it for Nvidia, too.
EVGA didn't include the disc with the 970sc card so they stuffed a note in the box suggested I download the drivers from their site. I didn't see Precision X there. ? odd.
As for my computer, I can't find the source of the burn. All caps, mosfets, wires, etc. look fine, so I powered it up for 4 hours today to let it run idle. Temp is 27c on gpu. Smell fading traces of burn so I'm just have to bench it next week.
Thanks for the help, guys.
