My ASUS Strix GTX 970 isn't performing as it should, atleast i think it's the graphics card. My cousin's pc also has a MSI GTX 970 with a i5 6600k and he gets like 20-30 fps more in h1z1 and cs:go.

My specs:
I7-6700K
Asus Strix GTX 970
2x8 GB Kingston
Windows 10

The first spike is in Rocket league and the second is in the H1Z1, as you can see on the screenshots the gpu usage rarely drops below 80% in RL. RL is the only game where i actually get the fps i would expect from the GTX 970, while in h1z1 it's just hovering around 30-40%.

Yes, im running the same game settings and we're both at default clockspeeds

The MSi GTX 970 did have a better factory overclock (than the Asus Strix GTX 070). But they are both over-clockable graphics cards.

I wouldn't think it would account for that much difference. You may have fewer system resources though.

Go to Task Manager/Startup and cleanup the applications running in the background. Disable those with medium and high impact on startup plus any applications that are not used every few days. You can also go to Performance Options and increase the Virtual Memory. I suggest 10000 MB Min and 15000 MB Max on your system drive.
