i know it's a veerry common question. but can a single gtx 970 provide 60 fps (75 fps would be better) at 1080p in the most latest games? if so i need some real proofs (not old games only new ones). if not so i'll 2x sli them. so i need some infos of cheap mobos who can provide that. my proccessor will be i5 6400
***(need proof: not like i won't believe in your answers but situations have made me fall to my knees and type those two words) thanx..

Even on ultra 1080p a 970 is getting 58FPS average in AC:S here http://www.gamersnexus.net/game-bench/2195-assassins-creed-syndicate-gpu-fps-benchmarks and 46FPS here...
Yes it will max out most games at 1080p 60fps you may have to turn down a few settings in some very taxing games. If you want proof just google "gtx 970 benchmarks" you should be able to find all the proof you need. I agree with sinxar if you are considering 970 sli just go for the 980 ti however than would be quite overkill for 1080p 60fps.

I have two 970s atm and a 1080p monitor. Speaking from experience, the two will certainly be capable of maxing out games at a steady frame rate. Looking at current prices, however, it seems a 980 would probably be better for your needs, since it should get the job done for less money than two 970s. Although almost non-existent nowadays, some (older) games also don't like running in SLI, so a single graphics card could be the better answer. Also, a 980ti will be overkill imo since you will only be running at 1080p.

A 980 ti wont hold a steady 60fps in all areas in the wither 3 either. I believe the 970 is the best price to performance card for 1080p 60fps. The OP said 1080p 60fps not 1080p 60fps ultra in every game. If you want 1080p 60fps solid on ultra in every single game you will need more than a 980 ti.

You are correct, they didn't say that. It is implied (IMO) though as there is talk of SLI'ing 2x 970s to achieve 60-75fps. You can use a 960 on low settings to get 60fps, you don't SLI 970s for medium settings at 1080p (at least I hope not)

SLI doesn't work with every latest game; 980 cannot achieve steady 60-75FPS in EVERY latest game @1080p on max/ultra settings (most of them yes though). Also consider DSR.

well, here where i live a 970 is $430 and a 980 is $690. so i won't be able to spend 700 dollars at a time. so please lets just talk about the 970s. (just for your knowledge i am running a 960 (oc-ed to 1430 mhz) atm in a 768p display. playing ac syndicate at upper medium-high settings getting --40-- fps). i am getting that a single 970 can't max all out a 1080p. i'll do sli a couple of years later. so some kind of link to the sli performance of 970 in 1080p in that game would help me a lot. thanks.........

Even on ultra 1080p a 970 is getting 58FPS average in AC:S here http://www.gamersnexus.net/game-bench/2195-assassins-creed-syndicate-gpu-fps-benchmarks and 46FPS here http://www.tomshardware.com/news/assassins-creed-syndicate-pc-benchmarks,30635.html. A slight overclock and/or turning down a couple of settings to high would probably get you up to 60. The only benchmarks I found for 970 SLI were from Russian websites and showed little improvement over a single 970 http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2455117 which seems to fall in line with poor SLI performance reported here http://gaming.re-publish.com/287446/ubisoft-is-currently-looking-into-assassins-creed-syndicates-sli-issues and in ubi forums. BLUF; SLI not worth it for AC:S as far as I can tell.
