GTX 970 or R9 390

Hi there, I'm thinking of upgrading from my Tiscali HD7870. Its just not cutting it anymore. I dont want to spend over £300 ($450) I dont know what to go for? Either a R9 390 or a GTX 970?

Both are equal with their own pros and cons.
What is your PSU?

or let us say this way.
If you plan to keep your PSU...
If your PSU is enough for a single HD7870...let say about 450-550W, GTX970 is your only choice.
R9 390 needs a wee bit more.
If you have 650W or higher, you can pick which one you like.

I have the 850W EVGA Supa Nova 80+ Gold. standered 1080p 1920x1080. I got two monitors and ill be getting a third one soon. I was thinking AMD for the eyefinity? Good Idea?

If you are going to game on 3 monitors get the 390.

Then go for the r9 390, the extra vRam might come handy.

Yup, if you have 850W you can get GTX970 or R9 390 as you please.
