So on my GTX 970 I have upped the core my 120 MHZ observing a boost clock of 1479mhz. MY fans are around 50 percent at 100 percent usage and the temps are 52 degrees! I have only upped the voltage by 15 MV and the power limit to 105%. I love this card, give me your results below!

MSI 970
Power Limit 100%/Untouched
+225 Core = 1680MHz
+575 Memory = 4080MHz
Temperature never goes above 64C

Why are you all proud of passing 1.5GHz? Am I missing something?
I got to 1.7GHz before I started getting artifacts or anything...

Please show screenshots of running the heaven benchmark with afterburner or precision next to it displaying the clock speeds, it's unlikely that it actually stays at that clock.

I have this exact same card. It's currently OC'ed to 1529MHz (+75) and 3824MHz memory (+320). At 1534MHz I started getting some very minor artifacts while playing Rise of the Tomb Raider, so I stopped at 1529. Also, 1250 voltage (+62mV), though I'm not convinced that's necessary. Temperature maxes out at 70C.

Heaven 4.0 score: 1562 at 1920x1080. (2037 at 1600x900)

If I crank the power up to 105% I can increase those to +90, +350 and a score of 1583. However, it makes me nervous to keep it that high.

This is my second EVGA card, and I have nothing but good things to say about them.

GPUz sensors tab screenshot of those clocks under load, please. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that you're reading the clocks that are displayed in the top right corner while running Heaven benchmark? The unigine benches don't read the correct clocks. They read high....way high. The chances of reaching 1700 with a GM204 is about slim and none, even using a chilled loop.

With the scores you're running, you're probably right around 1600ish. Maybe...and that's probably on the high side.

But... SLI doesn't do anything. It's like setting your money on fire. Developers don't even support it.

Where did you get that silly idea? rofl

I only did an overclock of +200 of the core clock of my Galax 970 and saw quite a decent increase in performance. Here's my results:
