I have a quick question for you guys. So my EVGA GTX 970 has been plagued with coil whine like every other 970 out there. I understand there is no real fix. However, I'm curious to know if using a water cooler could potentially fix the problem. Such as an NZXT Kraken G10. I'm not sure if the cooler has any effect on the whining in the coils, but I thought it would be worth asking. 😛

Also Here is an official response from EVGA:

"Water cooling will only assist mostly with the GPU itself and not the components that may be producing the coil whine. You can always try it but it will probably not make much of a difference.
Thank you, EVGA Support"

Looks like it probably wont work. But I'd like some incite from you guys.

Thanks!

its cool, no need just saying .. and that could be tampered with as well to hide things ? all in all you got lucky or you did not. and the chances of coil whine on these cards seems a little high risk that's all

and its not me it would be for the op .. you should really get that chip removed from your shoulder [opinion]

My shoulders are chip free, which is more than can be said of some AMD fans. :ange:
