Gtx 970 sli or Gtx 980 sli?

I know the 970s are so worth their money but should i get 980s to futureproof mu build...I have a 1440p monitor so should i just get the 980s instead?

gtx 970 sli is amazing for 1440p (probably close to ultra)
if you want future proof get 2 980s (they will be good for the 4k upgrade later on.)
