Okay so after doing a lot of research and reading reviews I decided to upgrade from a GTX 760 to a gtx 970 SSC (evga). Its amazing for newer games like Witcher, GTA5 and Dragon Age, but when it comes to games I play the most like SC2, WoW, CS:GO, my FPS has actually gone down a little bit. The weird thing is, is that my FPS is pretty inconsistent, once in a while it will be great 250+ and then other times it struggles to get over 200. I've tried google and all I can come up with is something about the video card throttling down do to low power consumption used with older games.. Is there a fix for this, could it be something else? Please help, im OCD about FPS.
Also i have the latest vid card drivers installed, and power management is set to performance, in control panel and vid card settings. Thanks guys
