I have a GTX 970 STRIX and I recently upgraded my monitors. Currently, I am running 2 monitors on and the idle temps are at 58-61 degrees just browsing through the webs, and not doing anything. I am running a 144hz monitor as my main display at the resolution of 1920- 1080 and the second display which is at 60hz with a resolution of 1600-900. Is it normal for the temperature to be that high? I understand that the card is factory overclocked and the idle temps are from 65-70 when gaming but when I had a 2 dual monitors that both had a refresh rate of 60hz, main display at 1680-1050 and other display at 1600-900, the idle temps are at 47-50. Is the that normal? is it because I upgraded my main display to 144hz?

MONITORS:
BEFORE UPDRAGE
-HP w2207h 60hz 1680-1050
-ACER H203H 60hz 1600-900

AFTER UPGRADE
-ACER GN246HL 144hz 1920-1080
-ACER H203H 60hz 1600-900

i have 960 of that card..the asus cards have a low noise set up in there firmware...the fans wont spin up intill the card reaches a set point then the fans wont max out. what i would do is boot into safe mode and uninstall the nvidia drivers and install the newest ones see if the temps go down. if not use msi afterburner set the fan to max see if you hear it. if you do and your temps go down..change the fan profile.

I know that the strix has a 0db fan mode, my temps were fine when I had 2 60hz monitor but when I replaced one with 144hz, temps went up.
