GTX 970 temps.

Yeah full load.. EVGA GTX 970 non superclock. Corsair Obsidian 450D, 2x noctua 140mm intake 2x 140mm exhaust.

I just replaced my R9 270X with this and man it's amazing.. The 270X would only reach about 60 at load. I thought the 970's were meant to run cool?

if your 270x temps are lower than your 970 then you should check that there is any blockage in airflow or something..

Xemko asked the right questions. It depends on your case and its airflow, if you overclocked the gpu and if you reach that temperature at full load or on just web browsing. Which GTX model do you have?

My MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4 with a cool and good case reaches sometimes in stress tests and benchmarks the 71° temp (Unigine Valley and Fire Strike), even if I overclock it slightly. Without load and under normal daily web surfing, the temp is around 40° and thats without the spinning the fans (under 50° they stop).

I would only be worried, if yours would reach over 80° and if you don't know why.

Edit: Oh so many answers while I was typing. I was slow.

😀
My Gigabyte 970 G1 Gaming running at ~70c in Unigine Valley/Heaven with Obsidian 750D (stock fans) in hot/high humidity country.
I wouldn't be worried about 70c. Which one do you mean by *non superclock?* There are many versions of EVGA 970 gtx.

I have the EVGA GTX 970 non overclock version. I just noticed the temp for the first time while running the Heaven benchmark at ultra with 70 degrees. Maybe that's normal.. It's currently idling at 33 degrees.. Haven't monitored gaming temps yet.
