GTX 970 vs AMD equivalent

The 970 and 390 will be great, though I have noticed in games like GTA even trying to get to 4 GB of vram makes the game un playable probably because it just cannot drive it. The 8 GB does help though just to give you the reassurance and you are even paying less than the 970 for it. I play the Witcher 3 with absolutely no problems on my 390 with v-sync on and I don't drop frames from 60 to much on all ultra settings, with like 2 different settings set to high. Some areas will drops but it's not an impact on game play as it drops like like 45 fps. I am just referencing this because the witcher 3 is a very graphically intense game. I haven't played it on a 970 though but yeah it'll possibly give you a reference to the power of the 390 lol
