Gtx 970sc or Gtx 1060?

Hi All,

I am planning to buy a gpu for my system. I have shortlisted two gpus
1) Evga geforce gtx 970 SC Edition (Price 18k INR)
2) Nvidia geforce gtx 1060 6GB variant (starting Price 21k INR) .
My max budget is 22k INR. And as of now I have a 900p screen & I want that I can play all the gaming titles from last year to the next couple of years with ultra/high settings.
Just for the information I am from India. So kindly consider that and help me guys which one should I buy.

If your screen is only 900P you could aim a little lower, try to find the 3GB version of the 1060 if it is cheaper than the 970 in your area. Also Perhaps look for a used card and let us know.

3000 Rupees = almost $50 cheaper for a card 10-15% slower. That's a pretty sizable difference in favor of the GTX 970. If you just have a 900p screen with no thoughts to upgrading soon it really doesn't matter which one you get - they're both power through that resolution.

3gb version of gtx 1060 is expensive than the 970. If I buy EVGA gtx 970sc will it be sufficient to play all the games with playable fps with ultra/high settings for the couple of years?

So if I buy gtx 970 will I be able to play all the upcoming games with ultra/high settings with atleast 30-40 fps at 900p screen?
4gb of vram is sufficient or should I go for GTX 1060 6gb version
