Good Afternoon Everybody,
I was just messing around on PcPartPicker.com, making a build I would like to happen in the next couple months with the fairly new GTX 980.... So far, here is my progress:
http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Kronik0407/saved/FTYwrH

There is one thing missing, a case. I am not sure what case or aesthetically what I want to put it in. If you have any input on this situation, I would love to hear it.
Also, after just buying a Macbook Pro I needed a couple months back, I do not have another two thousand dollars to toss at another computer... Is there any places I can lower the cost value for a lesser item, but still keeping the great gaming performance? I would like the total cost of the desktop to be around $1600-$1700, if possible. If not, around $1800, will be pushing it. If you guys can help me out or provide any input, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jungle_Boi

Or keep it and get a 1440p monitor in the future when their cost goes down.
If you want to game at 1080p then get the 970. the $200-odd difference between them can be put to a greater use such a bigger capacity ssd or you could just save that money. Even a 970 is OK for 1440p on current gen games.

As for a cabinet=

All of them are good choices.

A 980 for 1080p is overkill.

So you are saying that I should just get rid of the GTX 980? The only reason why I wanted to keep it in there is that, I technically "want to go for it all" at once, and not upgrade gradually. If you know what I am trying to say. And I want it to last the longest/keep it for a long time, because it is essentially the most important part of a gaming rig.

Thanks for the help ykki, I appreciate it. And I was already leaning towards the NZXT H440, probably the Razor edition, but the black and red one would match my system very well.
