I just purchased an Galax GTX 980 HOF 4gb and noticed that the power supply requirements were for 12v and 42 amps Im not quiet sure if my current psu is enough for the gpu but I asked the people I purchased it from "PC Case Gear AUSTRALIA" They said that my GPU Should run fine with my build. This is what it says on my Power Supply.
900w 240v ac50-60hz 5a
DC OUTPUT | +3.3v | +5v | +12v1 | +12v2 | - 12v | +5Vsb
MAX.Amp | 24A | 26A | 28A | 28A | 0.8A | 3A
I was told by the online shop that that would be fine but I just wanted to check with you guys. Thanks😉

You will be fine 28Ax2 = 56Amps for 12Volt rail

Tho for a 900w PSU 56amps for 12v rail seems pretty low kinda hints at a 'cheap' branded psu. What is the brand?

But don't worry 980 is very efficient, what are the rest of the specs ?
