gtx 980 runs battlefield 4 at 40fps????

so lately i've been getting subpar performance with my gtx 980 on battlefield4. All other games run just fine, the same at which other people play them at, but for some reason bf4 gets a subpar 40fps.. I used to be able to get over 110, but now ever since the 31st, i havent been able to push 60 at all. i've tried everything, really.

Any driver updates since the 31st? Temps good? Any signs of throttling using 3rd party software recordings? If your other games play fine with the performance they should, maybe a BF4 update messed things up.

It could be programs in the background bogging down your cpu, such as anti-virus software or viruses. When you have low fps look in task manager (open view processes from all users) and look for other programs using high cpu usage.

Other than that, your gpu or cpu could be clocking down to protect from overheating, so check your temps.

My temps hover around 57°c during an intense game., and it hardly even reaches 50 when GPU fan speeds are set to 100%

And it seems I'm not the only one who's been experiencing this with a 900 series card, but it's not even close to being all of us.

As for driver updates, there was one a couple days earlier, so I reverted back to the older drivers where I got high fps and still no performance change.

Well it turns out im just stupid. I was running bf4 at 200% resolution scale, and when i turned that back down to 100%, my fps went all the way back up again

Well by the looks of it, many people are having this problem.
Is it only Battlefield 4 for you?

It is a driver and/or BF4's problem at the moment, so the only thing to do is wait sadly. There are too many people having this problem.

bahahaha you were running at like 4k res with AA?? hahaha
