Hey guys, I am going to be buildig a new pc soon, and I want to make sure my system will run games smoothly on three Asus VN247H-P monitors, at a minimum of 60fps.
Here is said rig:
i7 5960x
Corsair H100i
Asus X99 Deluxe
32gb Corsair Dominator Platinum
Samsung 840 EVO 250gb SSD x2
Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB x3
Evga GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0 x2/3
Corsair HX1000
NZXT H440

I will be playing games such as, Battlefield 4, Far Cry 4, Tomb Raider, The Crew, AC Unity, Shadow of Mordor and GTA V. Also, is it better to go with three GTX 980s or will two suffice? Thanks!

The more graphics cards you add to an SLI/Crossfire configuration, the worse the scaling will get. I wouldn't recommend a 3-way SLI config over a 2-way SLI setup, simply because with that extra card you are only getting about 5-10 FPS in very few games, if I'm not mistaken. You could use that money you saved and invest it in a better case than the H440, or even a custom water loop if you are really into it. Oh, and one more thing, 1000 watts isn't really necessary. I would go with 850w.
Dude I`m sure you will be able to run pretty much everything on nice high graphics! You can add a 3 one if you want but that 2-way is already a very beastly system right there... If you cant game the way you want to on that then life does not make sense anymore....

Actually, you're absolutely wrong. 3 is ONLY better for a couple games like Tomb Raider. In fact after Dual SLI once you get to three and four cards, TYPICALLY your FPS starts to drop. 2 is the way to go. I'd tell you to go research before you start making statements like you know something but I'm not trying to start a troll off in another forum. BOTTOM LINE: DUAL SLI is the way to go.

3 = 1>2... If you were stuck in the desert, would you want 2 noob bottles of water, or 3 very awsome bottles of water?
