Hi.

I have till the option to install G-SYNC on my laptop for 120€.
Apparently it is more than a software update as I have to send in my laptop for some hardware modifications for this G-SYNC.
Now I have been reading through several fora, but the opinions differ quite a lot. Some say it is definitely worth it, some say not.

Can someone explain specifically for my laptop if it is worth it or not? With other words if there is a big difference or advantage or not with G-SYNC for now and in the future with possible newer and more demanding games/programs.

And off topic, I am experiencing some problems with Windows10, which is in my opinion less user friendly, especially with the sound and pictures. I have also a Windows7 which worked perfectly on my previous laptop. Does installing Windows 7 instead of Windows 10 have any influence on the performance of the laptop regarding e.g. gaming? (If I need to create a new topic for this, please say so :) ).

ASUS G751JY-T7234
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4870HQ CPU @ 2.50GHz
16 Gb RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX980M

Thanks!

G sync is worth it if u get a monitor that has it in a good price

In a laptop it isnt worth it for 120.... especially for a 980m

I had tried to install win10 with 3 ways and tested them with hdd and ssd and they are slower than win8.1. You may have a few fps more ( not a noticeable difference) but you will understand the speed bump with win8.1 😉
