Question GTX1070 no display

I recently got a upgrade for my pc, I went from a 1060 to a 1070, but now my screen wont even turn on.
To be more specific it doesnt even show me the boot screen its Just black, I get no post errors and I can ear trough my speakers it logging into Windows.
What I tried so far:

Tried using only 1 stick of Ram;
Tried reseting the bios by removing the CMOS battery;
Made sure the auxiliar power for the Gpu is connected;
Tried a different Hdmi cable and port;
Tried a different monitor;

I am also using a Asus p8p67 rev 3.0 MB wich has no integrated Gpu.
Can anyone help me. I got no clube what to do next.

Where did you get the 1070 from?

I no longe have the 1060, I got the 1070 from a friend.
Full specs:
I72600k
Gtx 1070
16gb ddr3 RAM @1.6mhz
1 256gb ssd and a 1tb Sata drive
Asus p8p67 b3 revision MB
Lc 6550 psu 550W
Windows 10 pro

Does the PC boot with the cpu removed?

What's the exact model of the 1070? Some models require more than the standard 1x 8-pin connection.

turns out it was a faulty card, I swapped it now it works fine
