Hi all,
I've been caught out. I bought my GTX1080 only 3 weeks ago and then the 1080Ti appears for £30 more than I paid. Is there anything I can do to return my 1080 to get a refund and buy a 1080Ti as I game at 2K and can't max everything? It may be a silly question and maybe I should have been more aware of the market but genuinely is there a chance I can do that? Has anyone else suffered the same fate?

Solution
Is the EVGA 90 day step up program available to you? They have added the 1080ti FE to the program so you would only have to pay the difference to get the 1080ti.

2K? what resolution is that? a GTX1080 shouldn't have any problem with that. I have a GTX1080 on 2560x1440 and it's staying at about 144 fps on ultra for almost every game- fallout 4, Witcher 3, Shadow of Mordor.

My res is 2560x1440p, No, my Witcher3 settings are about 58fps on almost max. I've just claimed the Tom Clancy ghost recon wildlands and can't max it at all even when the benchmark is 58fps it's quite stuttery in places in particualr when you enable the ultra textures. My spec is in my sig. What is your spec are you sure you're not SLi?

Try calling overclockers, they are pretty reasonable, they might do some kind of upgrade? Worth asking them.

Yep I have done but I'm 2.5weeks over the limit so I'm screwed. I suppose they have to draw the limit somewhere. Never mind. Damn!

Ah I've not thought of that. I'll check tonight. Many thanks.

After a bit of messing around I'm now on the Step Up program. WaHoo! thanks Adept!
