Gtx1080ti + i5 7600k OC combo

Hi. I have a gtx1060 running on an i5 7600k overclocked to 4.8ghz but thinking about going balls to the wall and getting a gtx1080ti now I have a 144hz monitor.

Will the cpu be able to handle this card? Will it bottleneck much?

I want to hit a consistent 144hz at the 1080p with ultra settings in most games. Maybe play with some resolution scales here and there for better picture too.

It will depend on what games that you will play. Advanced games like BF1 will put a strain on your CPU and can bottleneck the 1080 Ti, so you may not reach the desired 144 FPS. Just be aware that 144hz is a high target to achieve, and I will not guarantee you reaching that on demanding games.

Quad core i5's (Not talking about Coffee Lakes) are not exactly the best for 144hz gaming.

ok thanks, Because the 1080ti may not hit its full potential i think ill save the money and buy a top of the line normal 1080 which should suit my i5 more
