Fancied giving win11 a try and think i bricked the PC, would love some help please.
so this is what i did.
Installed 32gb corsair vengeance to the 32gb of corsair vengeance already onboard.
Updated gpu and SoundBlaster drivers .
Flashed bios with a later version to enable tpms.
Enabled secure boot
Started PC.
loaded into win10 ok.
started DCS world
when loaded, green artifacts appeared onscreen and PC crashed.
Rebooted PC and on the load screen and login screen had loads of glitches and artifacts and nvidia drivers had not loaded in.
pc froze so had to hard reset.
waited 5 mins and restarted, loaded into win10 all seems ok.
updated gpu firmware .
Moved the mouse, the pc froze and crashed.
spent a week trying to revert back. nothing.
So.
bought a TUF B550 gaming board with a ryzen 9, 5900x and a new terabit ssd.
added to the case and installed gtx1080ti to the board with the 64gb corsair ram.
powered up. all was ok for about 10 mins that the glitches came back.
updated the gpu firmware and drivers.
still crashes out.
bought an 850w psu, still crashes out.
dxdiag and device manager and properties manu all sat the gpu is working properly with no issues.

I can watch youtube and browse internet ok, but as soon as i try a game..... crash.

i tried DCS world and insurgency sandstorm. both crashed. i haven't installed anymore as i want to try and stabilize the pc first. DC world is the most graphically intense games i use. i have built my pc around this simulator. it was all running perfectly before i tried to update for win11.

oh, it was only a cheap one off amazon,
i just wanted to see if the extra wattage would make a difference, sadly not. so im back on the corsair 600w. It powered a rizen 7 on a tuf board with the 1080ti, SoundBlasterZ, water cooling aaaaand rift touch vr.

i just dont get it.

i only used the cheap psu for one boot up to see if the game would run. computer said no. So i plugged the corsair back in.

Does this happen if you remove the second set of ram you installed?

The RAM may look the same make and model but corsair are notorious for switching the manufacturer of the chips between versions within the same product line
I got home tonight and read through here. i removed the new ram sticks. loaded up dcsworld and it all worked. jumped into a plane and clicked fly.
game ran for about 1 min then froze, black screened, then displayed multiple colours in blocks and stripes then shut down.
the pc then started up in 800x600 and said i needed to install vga drivers then it all locked up again.
i did a hard shutdown and waited the usual 5 mins and restarted.
windows loaded into 3840x2160 and thats how i managed to get on here to post results.
