GTX660 or HD 5970 ??

Hi Guys ,

I'm absolutely stumped as to what card I should purchase for my system , At the moment I am deciding between these cards :
- XFX HD 5970 Black Edition ---- 267 $
- Gigabyte GTX660 (non ti ) OC ---- 294 $
I Live in Jordan and thats why its expensive :\

I'm playing games @ 1920*1080 , Someone said to me that the HD5970 lags because of 1GB memory !
(Sory for my bad English)

dont think so. also its only got 1gig of vram thats nogood.

The Radeon HD 5970, in theory, should perform a lot faster than the GeForce GTX 660 in general. 78% faster i think. But the problem is that, 5970 only has 1 gig of vram. speed isn't everything.

this is the confusin thing for me :\ it should be better but this 1gb vram .

and i think u should go for the gtx 660 its a really nice card
and dont forget to get it from city center i think its for 209
but if u try to go to taipei he would give it to u for 200 JD its gigabyte and dont forget he would give a 3 years war not like city center for 1 year

sorry for the late replay you will find taipei next to pc maker in the same side as city center i think away 500 meters just ask about pc maker its next to it i think they had it on sale in taipei about 195 jd gigabyte one

get the 660. 2gb ram makes a difference in most new titles. not to mention better dx11 performance than the old AMD 5xxx series cards.
