GTX970 How much power will it need?

I'm looking at buying a EVGA GTX970 but I don't know how much power it will need.

PC Specs: FX 9370 CPU, 2x8 16GB Ram, 2TB HDD, and I have a 800W PSU at the moment and it does not have enough power for my R9 280x GPU. So how many watts will I need for the GTX970?

If you have an 800w PSU that cant power a 280x, you should just replace it. Also that bulldozer based CPU will be a bottleneck in many games due to very poor single core performance.

that 800w should have like 200 watts more than the power required for your current build...

The GS800 should have no problem powering a 280x. Its enough to run 2 970s in SLI.

I have an i7-4790k, gtx970, 8gb GSkill sniper, msi z97 gaming, 1tb harddrive, 250 ssd and i run perfectly fine with 750w.......I could even run on 500w. Your build should currently run fine with your power supply, as Tom stated. Just replace the power supply.

Even with the 220w fx9370, 800w should be enough.

hmm maybe the 280x has a problem then because the computer will be working fine then all of the sudden the screen will freeze then the computer crashes

yep I did both of those and the card did the same thing in another pc
