Question GTX980M Thermal Pads

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to know if should I put thermal pads on my new GTX980M, (I have an Alienware 18), I've been using it without them for a couple of weeks. (I hope if pads is required, my GPU has not burned out)

You should definitely use thermal pads where the cooling assembly isn't flush mounted to the heatware's surface. You've probably degraded the GPU's lifespan or it's been thermal throttling all along.

Also, is there any way to monitor all the GPU chips temperature? (I only know how to see the main processor of the GPU temp through task manager)

Just get HWiNFO (free version)
