Thanks for your feedback.

I guess you mean the Prototype version in the gameplay videos.

The button placement and also the whole gundesign will be changed maybe.

But actually having the buttons on the magazine part is more comfortable than it looks like.
For instance, if we choose a bullpup rifle design like the FN2000 or the P90 the button placement would be really complicated and uncomfortable.

So a G36, SCAR or ACR rifle design would be our first choices.

take a look at the ps3 move rifle for a moment..

the placement of the analog stick and a few key buttons is excellent and would pair well with your design of a swing the gun to point scheme but may take some getting used to.

there should be a button for reload as well as tapping the magazine up should be reload.

while putting keys in different locations would be complicated it would not be uncomfortable. using a keypad on the side of the gun would be uncomfortable and i can say that from years of using such light guns as well as years of actually shooting real guns.

honestly once you pick a rifle design you will need to figure out where you can easily reach while stil focusing on the screen. this might involve putting a directional pad and a few buttons on the trigger stock area and a few on the left side of the gun (since most users are right handed)

your best bet would be to go with an ar-15 or scar type design. they are much more popular and well known.

Thank you for suggested improvements.

The Scar rifle design would be definitely come into question.
And the idea to place the Movement Stick and some key buttons onto a forward grip is also very good.

The main reason why we placed the Analog Stick next to the magazine part is that we want to have most buttons in direct range without to change the postion of the hand.
The controller should be able to handle FPS Games on the PC, Xbox and PS3. On the PC you have a wider range of FPS Games and sometimes more buttons you can use than on other platforms.

A good option would be to place an additional forward grip like you suggested.

And of course we are planning to make a reload button under the magazine.
