GWL-510 Wireless Card doesn't Receive Packets

I just re-installed windows xp on my computer (geforce 6100 mobo, 2 gig memory, Nvidia 9600 GSO,AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ cpu, GWL-510 wireless card) and Installed all my drivers. But my GWL-510 cannot receive a connection from my U-Verse 2wire router. It will send packets but will not receive packets from the connection. The password IS correct, and i set the IP address and all that stuff to where it should be.

My computer says the card is on, but my router sees it as off. How to I get an internet connection without plugging in an ethernet cord?

I'd start by checking TCP/IP Properties.

Start, Connect To, Connection, Properties, Scroll Down TCP/IP and highlight, click Properties and check that Obtain DNS and IP address automatically are enabled.

If that doesn't help, try turning off wireless security in the router temporarily, which may help narrow down the cause.
