H100i GTX fan replacement?

I plan on replacing the H100i GTX fans with corsair SP 120 Red LEDs because they're noisy af but I cant remember where to plug in the 3 pin (i think) on each of the fans onto the motherboard. Mobo is a Gigabyte GA-Z97X Gaming 3. The H100i GTX has just one connector for both of the fans it looks like, but if I buy the fans individually then I'll have 2 connectors for each of the fans.

You plug the fans into the waterblock (possibly using the included splitter).

That being said, youre replacing corsair SP fans with red SP fans. They are the same thing.

So it won't make it any less noisy at all?

Not with those fans, no.
I recommend something like the Noctua F12s

If you compare the two, they run quieter, move more air, and have a higher static pressure than corsairs SP line.

OK, so i plugged in the corsair link cable to the waterblock and to the usb header on the motherboard, but after I changed the setting to "quiet" the fan rpm now says 0, even though the fans are spinning very lightly. I tried setting it to performance mode but the speed doesn't change. I also tried to use SpeedFan and that didn't work either.

What version of corsair link are you using?
If you are getting acceptable temps on "quiet" (Thats what Im running) I would ignore it for the time being.

I checked the temps. My CPU is overclocked to 4.0GHz and at max graphics settings in GTA V I get around 55 degrees. No stutters or anything. Smooth 85-90fps @ 144Hz. Perfect. Thanks for the help, turns out all i needed to do was set it to quiet in corsair link 😛
