Bought H100i GTX for my i7-4790k few days back. Had been running it without connecting it to usb header since then without any issues. I connected the usb header today, selected the Quiet mode in Corsair Link which I don't even run in the background.

Now when I started playing GTA 5, fans reached after 100% after 10-15 mins of Gameplay, when they shudn't reach 100% while in Quiet mode and they are too damn loud. After closing the game, the fans go to their normal Quiet mode speed in a minute.

Tried 3 times and it's happening again n again. Processor is undervolted to 1V at 4 GHz, fully stable and temps never went over 52C while gaming. I have also tried running Corsair Link in the background, but that's still happening.

Solution
The drivers for the Link are buggy. Some of the versions don't even work with my AIO.
Try different versions.

Now, my AIO came with fans that go to max 2200 RPM. Maybe your fans react differently if the program thinks you only have max 2200 RPM-fans. Meaning the program let's the fans run at 100% at a certain point. As people have suggested, use custom curve.

Checked using the graph in Corsair Link. The temp was at 40C, when the fans jumped to 100%.

In the fan curve of Quiet Mode, the max fan speed is around 1650-1700 RPM. But my fans jump to 2700 RPM (100% probabbly).

Fixed the RPM to 40% and ran Valley benchmark for 25 mins. Fans didn't jump to 100% this time. Gonna try previous versions of Link now. If that doesn't work, then I guess RMA would be a better option than keeping a defective product. Since fixed rate didn't cause that issue, it looks like Link is buggy.
