I just got a H110i GTX in the mail and have a NZXT Phantom 240 Mid Tower Chassis coming friday, I was just on the NZXT website and saw a compatibility checker which says the h110i will not fit, why is this if the case supports dual 140mm in the top?
Hi Dennis_3, it appears the h110i gtx may not fit that case. While the nzxt phantom 240 does support 140mm fans in the top as an option the issue appears to be one of difference in mounting holes for the different coolers.
Apparently the phantom 240 uses 15mm hole spacing while the h110i gtx uses 20mm holes spacing. If that's the case the mounting screws will be spread out too far to fit in the pre drilled holes in the top of the case.
This is because the fans that come with that cooler are 140mm while your case can not hold fans bigger than 120mm.
The top and front of your case have room for a double radiator and 2 fans to go with it but only 120mm fans. The H100i GTX comes with the 120mm fans. I'd give that one a shot. That's what I have and I love it.
