H1Z1 - failed to create d3d object

I need some help with H1Z1, I recently restored my computers harddrive and put windows 7 on it as I wasnt a big fan of windows 10, after installing h1z1 and trying to boot it up I get this error message (failed to create d3d object)

Now I have googled this and everything is telling me to update my GPU drivers and update Windows.

I already Have SP1 on my computer and when I check for updates it just gets stuck and just keeps searching and searching. I don't know what else to do

does anyone have any ideas ?

Well I have a brand new MSI 1060 so I'm pretty sure it does

how do you run it? because i just get some standalone crap and it does nothing

same problem lads... apparently this windows update can take up to 24hrs to apply...im just waiting with my fingers crossed.. bought brand new i7 and gtx980 just for this game
