H310 low pcie 3.0 lanes?

So I bought a h310 board since it finally came out but I just want to know if the supposed low pcie lanes will affect the performance of my gpu (gtx 1060) and or my cpu I'm gonna upgrade to (i5 8400 maybe 8500).

What is the exact model of the board you bought? As long as it has a PCIE slot at X8 or X16 it will run that card to it's full potential.

I got the msi h310m pro-vdh lga 1151 model from newegg and what does the low pcie lanes really limit me to?

It has a PCIE X16 so it'll run that GPU fine.

Intel's H310 chipset doesn't have PCIe 3.0 on the chipset, only 6x 2.0. You still get PCIe 3.0 x16 from the CPU.

If you want a full complement of expansion options, you need to step up to the B360 or H370.
