I've recently bought a 899€ starter PC (had a few problems with it but it seems to be fine for now) and with it came a couple of questions.

Some Infos first:

Specs
-PSU (awaiting Mail from MSI - can't see the label without removing PSU and I'd like to avoid that for now [ESD - see other thread]) - but according to official specs either 350w or 500w
- Mainboard: H310M Pro-M2 PLUS
(CPU/GPU: I5 8400/Gtx 1070 Itx aero oc)
Question:
Will it support I7 9700k? Specs listing support up to I9 but I've read something about VRM on cheaper MBs not being able to handle higher tier CPUs.
So, does that mean it'll support I7 and I9 but only half assed at best?

Ideally I want to upgrade the cpu shortly before/until christmas, but if I really do need a new Mobo then would the Gigabyte Mainboard Z390 AORUS Pro (~200€/$) be sufficient?

So, It really is okay as long as it's in that list?
When I searched for similar Topics I saw someone doubting a z390 (lower budget) could fully handle a i9 even though it's supported by the Mobo so I panicked a bit.
