The hoses are in the bottom, the radiator is getting air from outside. The pump is at 1460rpm. I get 20c but spikes up to 40-50 randomly. Why does this happen? How can I fix this. The pump is set at full speed on my z170 e. I own a i7 6700k. I had a 212 evo and everything was good 25-30 c on startup. I was hoping fer 20 c at idle but now im having these issues. Please help m8.The the temps are never steady. 🙁

this is why I am not a fan of AIO water coolers. Their performance is sub par compared to open loops and on par at best with a quality air cooler. You could try re-applying thermal paste and see if that helps your situation. Likely you are stuck with these spikes if that does not help. I suggest using the grain of sand or X technique when applying thermal paste. look here to see what I mean.

I called corsair and they said that the fan speed is not high enough. I went to my bios and clicked the preset full speed why is it not 1700 rpm?

Well, I get really high temps while gaming. 60-70c on high demanding games like Rust, and Gta 5. I like to max out the setting with my 1070. I purchased a new cpu fan and it helps the temps only by a few c. I'm getting my thermal paste n a few days and I really hope that fixes the issue.

if your not running thermal paste or the paste you have is low quality it will help. If the paste you have your using now is ok then you may see very little difference. I guess time will tell. I'll take an open loop water cooler any day of the week. They are more hassle but the cooling potential, assuming you get good parts, is much much higher. What kind of case are you running?

The pumps pre applied thermal paste didnt even go on the cpu. A small amount was on there. I put my arctic silver on there and now I get 40-50c while gaming with cpu turbo off.
