Hello. I've got quite a dilemma here. First of all. I want to either get a H80 or a H100 to cool my i5-3570k. Now.. the problem is I'm confused on whether the H100 fits in an NZXT Phantom with Ripjaws ram.

Here's the ram I have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428

If you could take some times and view the first 1-2 minutes of these two videos:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M044IDLhOKM (H100 fits but with some modding I wouldn't like)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klQWG5QyvRs (Fits fine!!)

And in both of those cases they are using Ripjaws.

Or do you guys just think I should get an H80? I'm 90% sure that'll fit in the rear fans spot.

Thanks in advance.

H80 wouldn't be a very good upgrade over a V6GT, really they perform the same. As for an H100, would you really pay $100+ for a 3-4C difference? I would pay $100+ for at least 10-20C difference in performance.
Ok so if you lived in australia this would speak for itself haha

Corsair H100 - $159.00

XSPC Rasa 750 EX360 WaterCooling Kit - $165.00

XSPC Rasa 750 EX240 WaterCooling Kit - $155.00

I understand that the prices of these things would vary heaps considering you live in America but this speaks for itself.

With the XSPC EX kits you have the chance to build your own kit to your own standards, you'll have good, reliable equipment. you'll be able to learn tons more about your PC's relation to its surroundings and how different things affect your temps, you'll have bragging rights over your friends. future expansion to cover your GPU, mobo, Ram ect. and greater performance but.. you'll have to wait a bit longer and do a lot more research.

Then with the H100 or any other all in one kit you have things like ease of installation, miniscule amounts of monitoring needed, more space in your case and a possibility of it being 100% reliable like the guy who posted above.

all of this is my views on the topic and prices and knowledge i've gathered over time and i will take on board anything anyone would like to add.

the wonderful thing about the xspc kit is that the temp drops found on their entry level kit with the 750L is phenomenal!

lowjack - i believe, had an H100 and his temp after the XSPC kit was a 10 deg drop off of load and on idle was 6 deg. so if i didn't have $50 more to spend on, than an H100 unit, I'd sell my clothes to get me that H100 killer - the XSPC EX rasa 750 kit.
