Hacked windows 8 question

I have been hackrs and am about to do a system reset to factory settings as I don't have the original installation disk.
But I was wondering if my hacker has gone into my partitioned recovery drive and placed a virus in there won't resetting it just allow him to come back afterwards, or will it make a new version of everything

We'd need to know exactly what evidence you have that you've been hacked.

Just download the Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft website and set up the media of your choice (on a different computer). Make sure it boots from the media, and delete all partitions on the disk (full reformat).

It won't protect you from very invasive hacks that go deeper, or from infected user files you have copied elsewhere, but it will be the easiest way to ensure the OS is fine.

I don't have another computer..
I have files appearing and whoever it is, is able to close open windows, take me to certain sites, open and close programmes. After researching I think they've infected me with a remote access tool. My webcam light came on other day too

1) Stop using the computer immediately
2) Have a friend make you a disk
3) Nuke that thing as soon as you have the disk

Will restoring my laptop back to factory settings work. Will I be safe using it if I do that

There's 2 options. Just remove my files and reset to factory settings and the other is clean the drive fully (use this if your going to recycle the PC)
I'm just worried the second one will take the OS of cus I haven't got a windows disk

Considering you are typing that on an infected computer, no, you will not. Stop using the computer immediately and delete everything there .
