Halo combat evolved black screen win xp

Hey guys, I am trying to run halo combat evolved on my pc with a pentium 4 and a nvidia GeForce 5500. The video drivers are force ware 175.19 and anti aliasing is off. Any suggestions?

The current Video drivers are in the 331.00 versions.You might need to upgrade to the newer version driver.

175.19 is the latest driver for my card.(geforce fx 5500) I also forgot to state my problem. When i open halo it flashes the loading screen then goes black with menu music playing. The menu also occasionally appears then disappears.

Found out how to run it. In the shortcut properties add -safemode on the target. Runs it graphically cut down and not in full screen. Also no audio. But hey, it works!
